Dr. Luke Aiura graduated from Northwestern University in 2007 with a degree in History. Taking a non-traditional path, he taught English in southern Japan for several years prior to attending dental school. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 2017, graduating with honors in academics, leadership, and clinical proficiency. Following dental school, Dr. Luke expanded his clinical skills by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio. During the program, he received specialized training in the surgical placement of dental implants, IV sedation, full-mouth rehabilitation, and management of TMJ disorders and sleep apnea. Dr. Luke also enjoys cosmetic dentistry and is certified in Invisalign. Dr. Luke is thrilled to be back in his hometown of Chicago, and is committed to providing the highest level of comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based dental care. He focuses on building long-term relationships with his patients based on education and open communication – and takes special care to understand and treat patients with dental anxiety. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Chicago Dental Society. Outside the office, Dr. Luke enjoys playing guitar, fitness & nutrition, and exploring the fantastic food and music of Chicago.
