Dr. Maame-Ama Antwi

Dr. Maame-Ama Antwi is native to Chicago's north side Uptown and Rogers Park areas, however, has heritage from Ghana, west Africa. Dr. Antwi completed her doctorate degree in dental medicine at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2020, graduating with honors. After graduating dental school, Dr. Maame then completed a General Practice Residency Program in Brooklyn, New York at Interfaith Medical Center where she gained profound knowledge and expertise in oral surgery and pediatric dentistry. After successful completion of residency, Dr. Antwi moved back to Chicago and continued to extend her education by completing courses in placing and restoring implants and proficiency in 3rd molar (wisdom teeth) extractions. She also is a proud member of the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS) and has held a chair position with the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) for the last 3 years. Dr. Maame is overjoyed to serve the Chicago south loop area and always wanted to be a dentist serving the community that she is also benefiting from, being truly a part of the community. A few hobbies and interests Dr. Antwi include: playing the clarinet, roller skating, painting, traveling, attending different theatrical productions and concerts, along with shopping and spending time with family. Dr. Antwi believes dentistry is a major cornerstone of general health as many diseases and infections start in the mouth and can spread throughout the body. Dr. Maame believes every human has the right to proper dental care and sees it as her mission to educate patients on the importance of dental health and hygiene. Dr. Antwi promises to provide patients with the gold standard of care and present patients with the best and all treatment options along with pros and cons of each option. Dr. Antwi prides herself on treating each patient as she would a member of her family and ensures patients are comfortable for the most optimal dental experience.
