Dr. Sona Bekmezian

Dr. Sona Bekmezian is a Board-Certified Orthodontist proudly serving patients at Dentistry At Its Finest in Costa Mesa, CA. Raised in the sunny San Fernando Valley, she always enjoyed visiting the dentist as a child, but it was her own orthodontic treatment during her teenage years that truly inspired her passion for the field. That personal experience gave her a deep appreciation for the life-changing impact of orthodontic care and ultimately led her to pursue a career dedicated to creating confident, healthy smiles. Dr. Sona earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she built a strong clinical foundation in comprehensive dental care. Following dental school, she completed her Orthodontics residency at UCSF, during which she also earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master’s in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. Her advanced education reflects her commitment to excellence and specialization in her field. She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction that represents a high level of clinical achievement and dedication to ongoing professional development. In addition, Dr. Sona serves as a director on the Board of the California Association of Orthodontists, where she contributes to advancing the profession and supporting continued education within the orthodontic community. For Dr. Sona, orthodontics is truly a labor of love. She finds great fulfillment in transforming smiles and helping patients gain confidence through their treatment journey.
