Dr. Sanjay Merchant

Dr. Merchant was born and raised in Southern California, where he developed an early appreciation for both science and community-centered care. He attended the University of California, Irvine for his undergraduate studies, graduating with honors and earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received comprehensive training in a wide range of dental disciplines and refined his clinical skills in both preventive and advanced treatment approaches. Dr. Merchant has a strong clinical interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and dental implants. He is dedicated to preserving as much of the natural tooth structure as possible while enhancing both function and aesthetics. By staying current with modern techniques and advancements in dental technology, he is able to provide precise, efficient, and high-quality care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. His approach focuses on achieving long-lasting results while maintaining patient comfort throughout every step of treatment. A key part of Dr. Merchant’s philosophy is collaboration and open communication. Outside of the practice, Dr. Merchant enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid basketball fan and player, and he especially enjoys supporting his favorite team, the Lakers. In his free time, he also plays the guitar, enjoys reading, and takes every opportunity to travel and explore the outdoors.
