West Metro Dental is pleased to welcome Dr. Sandeep Walia, a graduate of the University of Western Ontario as a valued member to our dental family. We are confident that he will help to bring our office to new heights in patient care in the coming years. As an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry for almost 10 years, he has developed a keen interest in smile enhancement procedures & implants. Apart from cosmetic procedures he will also be providing basic restorative dentistry for our patients and will be working closely with our team of specialists who has also recently come on board. Dr. Walia graduated in 1995 from BDCH Davangere, a dental school of extremely high regard in India. In November 2004, he and his wife, moved to Canada, and he was selected to attend the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry the following year in the DDS program. It was here that he came under the leadership of his esteemed teacher and mentor, Dr. H. S. Sandhu and other honorable faculty members, and was awarded the chair award in periodontics in 2008. One of his two papers on esthetic dentistry, "Achieving excellence in metal free ceramics", has been accepted for publication by Journal of the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Sandeep is an avid golf player, and in his quiet moments he loves to watch movies. His wife is also a dental graduate from India. They live in Oakville along with his mother and their two beautiful daughters, Riya,Pearl & Son Shaurya. RECENT ACHIEVMENTS & PRESENTATIONS Dr. S. Kim my hygienist took great care of me as well, asking questions and explaining things in detail so I understand the why, what and how’s.
