Dr. Kaopua helped set up new dental programs at community health centers in Hana, Maui, and Kea’au, Hawaii, to help serve the underserved communities. As Dental Director, he served as a member of the County Oral Health Taskforce to help increase access to dental care throughout the island. He also started an AEGD residency training program to help train dental graduates in advanced dental techniques.
