Reviewed on November 15th, 2019 • Verified patientTook x-ray even though I had one six-months ago, and took measurements such as teeth to gum distance, which seemed like a lot of diagnostics without cause, but I suppose it was the first time seeing him. He gave a mirror and showed me some things in my mouth, which a dentist has never really done before during a routine cleaning, which was nice. He stressed flossing technique, particularly behind the last tooth in the back of the mouth, which was the first time a dentist had told me that as well. At the end, his assistant put on a sticky layer of fluoride that was supposed to restore minerals, which is generally only given for children, but that they stated they are now doing for adults too for cavity prevention. The biggest upside of this place is that they care about you, take their time and explain everything thoroughly and carefully including your other options and your benefits. After filling out the documents, they took some X-rays and then Dr. Lum started to examine my teeth. He talked about what my needs are, what are the options and how the process works. We created a long term plan to take care of my needs, one at a time, and then Dr. Lum started to clean my teeth. Overall, it took me about 2 hours but I do not have any complaints about anything. They were careful to point out and explain any problem areas they saw, discuss all my options for next steps, and give time to decide - I felt zero pressure to pursue costly treatments, etc. as I have at other offices. Very friendly, professional, and makes you feel at ease. Maryann at the reception desk is really sweet, she stayed on the phone with me as my headphones kept cutting out…4 times. Most would have hung up after the 2nd time.
