Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

We know that it can be difficult for patients to carve time out of their schedule to come to the dentist, so we wanted to be available when our patients needed us. We have extended evening hours during the week and we have Saturday appointments available on the weekends. We also can treat patients comprehensively under one roof so they don't have to jump from specialist to specialist to get their treatment done. We can offer them sedation if they have some anxiety about coming, and we can complete pretty much any procedure here whether it be root canals, Invisalign, or dental implants.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I would say that one of my specialty areas would definitely be sedation dentistry. i received my sedation certification shortly after graduating from dental school in 1996 and have been offering it to my patients ever since. I also work with the Arizona State Dental Board to evaluate other dentists in Arizona to ensure they are properly performing sedation dentistry. I was also an early adopter of CAD/CAM dentistry. I obtained my first CEREC unit in the early 2000's when they were still in the early stages of development. They have made huge strides since those days, and with the new CEREC Omnicam, we can now prepare and fabricate a same-day crown in a little over an hour. Another area that I am really excited about, is now we are able to provide our patients with Cone Beam CT technology. What that does is it takes a 3D image of a patients head, neck and jaw, so now we are able to see much, much more than a traditional 2D x-ray could provide. I have had to go through numerous hours of continuing education to provide this service for my patients, but it is well worth it. The images that we get with the cone beam make every other procedure that we do so much easier. The area that it has helped the most is by far implant placement. I can now see a 3D image of the patient so I can plan out exactly where the implant is going to go, ensure that the patient has enough existing bone to support the implant, and guarantee that I won't hit any nerves in the jaw, that was impossible before this technology. It also helps me immensely in being able to diagnose diseases that I wouldn't have been able to see on a 2D image.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud that my team and I get to raise dental awareness in our local community, and provide high-quality dentistry to those around us. I am also proud that because we have such great patients, we get to give back to our community through the different charitable organizations and events such as The Smiles For Life Foundation, Give Kids a Smile, and the annual Oral Cancer Walk for Awareness.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I am passionate about treating each patient specific to their needs, and strive to make a positive impact on each patient I see. I love my job the most when a patient comes to our office in pain, and I get to help them relieve that pain anyway that I can. To see that look of relief on their face when the pain subsides is why I do what I do.
