About
Dr. Radovan Rudik was born in Slovakia and grew up in Mississauga ON. He completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences with Honors degree at the University of Western Ontario. He then pursued his dental education at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. His most memorable experience was providing dental care to orphans in the Eastern European country of Moldova. While in dental school, Dr. Rudik also represented the UNC Tar Heels as a defensemen on the NCAA Division 2 ice hockey team. Following graduation, Dr. Rudik returned to UNC to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. He has successfully passed both American and Canadian National Dental Boards. In his spare time, when he is not fishing, Dr. Rudik is training his Belgian Malinois "Niki", and keeps his hands busy with home improvement and landscaping projects.

What are you proud of in your practice?
My amazing team that treat our campers like they are their own family. The ambiance - we have been told it feels like a 5 star hotel in the Muskokas We are at the forefront in technology with intraoral camera and microscope and advanced root canal therapy units. We also have low dose digital radiographic equipment. My philosophy is to to guide my patients on a pathway of least amount of dentistry in their lifetime. By pretending each patient is my father, mother, sister or brother allows me to treatment plan and provide the necessary dentistry at my highest level. My technology allows me to be transparent and allows my patients to co-diagnose with me.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
I enjoy treating all cases but especially enjoy paediatric/children's dentistry and being a mentor for a child's first dental experience. I also enjoy treating patients with high anxiety and emergency patients.

Reviewed on August 30th, 2018 • Verified patientFirst we did a tour of the whole office which was informative.Next thing to do was an X-Ray.In detail Dr.Rudik showed me my X-Ray on a big screen and we talked about the best solution.He is not about the money,he is about the health and welfare of the patient.This took place at 9:30 am.We decided that a complete upper denture was the best way to go.So at 7:00 pm I returned for a 3 tooth extraction.That was a very smooth operation.The good Dr.was very gentle and in a kind matter,he tells you were to position your head. From nummin the gums to the point where Dr. Rudik says it's all done was about an hour.I would also like to add that Kristi,his assistant knew her job very well. This whole experience stared with a very caring individual named Rachel,Dr.Rudiks secretary/receptionist.Rachel was thorough with her questions about what exactly was my problems and then together we came up with an appointment time. Actually Dr. Rudik and his team came in early on Aug 29th to consult with me. He and his staff are just as welcoming; he took the time to explain how he does things differently and explain the "WHYs" behind at home dental care, such as flossing and brushing. While getting your cleaning, you can watch some Netflix, or watch your child with a live stream to the kids play area. The reception that I received from Rachel and Kersti when I first arrived was a notable experience as they were very pleasant to deal with. The atmosphere and decor were pleasantly unexpected and I was very impressed as soon as I entered the office. The attention to detail during the design process is apparent and spot on. Dr. Radovan Rudik and Kersti expressed an excellent bedside manner and seemed to work very well together during my exam. Dr. Rudik was patient, understanding, and made sure I felt comfortable with the process. He asked me what I was hoping for out this all, and came up with a treatment plan that worked best with my health and financials. I would give Dr. Rudik 10 stars if I could. You can tell he really loves what he does, cares about his "campers", and has put much thought and care into his practice. Dr Radovan gave me a tour of the lodge and explained his concept to making dentistry not feel like going to the dentist. I really enjoyed the personal touch. His explanation of everything they were doing and why helped...the photos aided the explanations... My big thing was my last dentist was not a good experience...This was a painless experience...Now i'm not at all adverse to going back to Moose Lake.
