Dr. Alfredo Ripa

Dr. Ripa was born and raised in San Diego, California, where he attended Bonita Vista Middle School and graduated from the University of San Diego High School (now Cathedral Catholic High School) in 2002. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad De La Salle Bajío in León, Guanajuato, Mexico—one of only two internationally accredited dental schools recognized outside of the United States. Before receiving his California dental license, Dr. Ripa gained valuable hands-on experience working as a dental assistant in San Diego and as a dentist in Tijuana, Mexico, all while diligently preparing for his California board examinations. With more than 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Ripa has completed extensive continuing education in order to provide the highest standard of care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ripa enjoys a full and vibrant life. He is married and loves the finer things in life—especially time with his beloved bulldog, Thanos. When he’s not practicing or studying dentistry, you can usually find him on the golf course, cooking for his family and friends, or cheering on his favorite sports teams. He’s an enthusiastic fan of Formula 1, soccer, baseball, and especially the San Diego Padres. A true San Diego local, he often takes Thanos for walks through Little Italy.
