Dr. Michael Schneider

Dr. Michael Schneider got his calling into dentistry in college while looking for a profession that would combine his love for helping people and a vocation that would support him and his family. As a child and teenager, he had a passion for business and science and wanting to fix and improve things. This childhood passion coupled with his desire for helping others led him to dentistry. After receiving his B.A. in Economics with minors in Biology and Chemistry from U.C. San Diego, Dr. Schneider applied to Tufts University and graduated with Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1987. After passing his Dental Boards on the first try, he took over a prosthetic and reconstructive practice in Westwood. His practice has grown and flourished as a leader in cosmetic and restorative practices. Dr. Schneider believes in staying current with the latest technologies and trends so his patient care is held at the highest standard. In addition to serving patients, Dr. Schneider lectures and educates dentists around the globe on advanced dentistry techniques. He received a faculty appointment from USC in Los Angeles and has been an associate professor at Tufts University where he also teaches aspiring dentists. His lecturing commitments has attracted the attention of the media where Dr. Schneider has been featured on a number of website and magazine articles and most recently was the featured dentist on The Doctors® and The Hallmark Channel®. His first passion is always giving his patients a healthy and beautiful smile in the most conservative way possible. He likes to think of himself as the “everyday” dentist because of his close connection and commitment to all his patients whether they are getting a filling or full mouth reconstruction. When he is not working, Dr. Schneider loves spending time with his sons, traveling and rooting for the USC Trojans, located in Los Angeles. But his passion is still dentistry and that same drive that he experienced over 20 years ago – helping patients!
