Dr. Leon Merrick

In 1999, Dr. Merrick became one of the first dentists in New York City to acquire and use the DLas300 dental laser at his practice. Since then, Dr. Merrick has continued to remain at the forefront of technology in dentistry. In 1992, he helped establish the East Coast Dental Laser Symposium. Additionally, Dr. Merrick continues to perform his civic duties through his partnership with the world renowned Abyssinian Baptist Church as the Chairman of their Medical Ministry. Dr. Merrick continues to advance his dental expertise through active participation in continuing education and conferences all over the world including: parts of Europe and Canada to just to name a few. Dr. Merrick makes it a priority to give back to his community through his annual involvement with the Colgate© Dental Van where he provides free dental care and education to innercity youth. Dr. Merrick also active provides dental internships at his ofice to aspiring and current dental students who attend his alma mater, NYU. A native New Yorker, Dr. Merrick proudly completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at New York University. He resides in Harlem with his lovely wife, Gerri.
