Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I am concerned about my patients and the treatment I offer them. We have not done any amalgam (silver) fillings since 1985. Concerned about your health. All treatment is done by Dr. Clifton, in continuous practice for over 40 years (NYU trained). There are no other office personnel doing hands-on patient care. At this time, we do not offer any type of third party financing in order to entice you into expensive dental treatment. I treat one patient at a time. This prevents distractions and also provides better infection control. NO room-hopping and sharing appointments. We can accept dental PPO type plans Toward payment. This is not an "in-network" office. Our agreement is with You.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

1) Thorough Prophylaxis (cleaning) for all patients, especially those with health concerns requiring closer (3 month) maintenance (Cardiac, Diabetic, and Body Implant patients). 2) Replacing missing teeth with treatment alternatives that do not involve dental implants, such as conventional crowns, permanent bridges, and removable dentures. 3) Restoring teeth with moderate decay that can be restored with alternatives to conventional root canal therapy in one visit at considerable reduction in cost.

What are you proud of in your practice?

1) Very low number of litigation incidents (2) in over forty years of continuous practice. 2) Patient growth and retention by word of mouth recommendations primarily. Many patients have been with me for more than 30 years, and are on their next generation. 3) Proud of being able to perform unconventional services where feasible and necessary in order to help patients out of difficult situations with respect for their feelings and their wallets.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy all facets of dentistry that I can agree with the science behind the treatment, and see a positive benefit to the patient. I enjoy offering patients safe and efficacious alternatives to accepted dental treatments which may not be in that patient's best interest.
