Dr. Sharilyn Moniz

Dr. Shari Moniz was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. She received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the home of the Rainbow Warriors. She graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska with her DDS degree in 2002. After graduating and passing her board exams with flying colors, she went on the complete a General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There she gained valuable experience with treating the medically compromised, disabled, and those with traumatic head and neck injuries. ​ While in Minneapolis, she met her dear future husband who she later followed to Albuquerque, New Mexico when he was recruited for a work opportunity. She practiced successfully in Albuquerque for 8 years before deciding to move their family of 4 to San Diego. ​Dr. Moniz supports organized dentistry and the way organizations promote the health of our citizens. She is a member of the San Diego County Dental Society, at the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Special Care Dentistry Association, and the American Association of Women Dentists. She is committed to maintaining high standards in continuing education and modern dentistry.
