My experience at Desert Vista Dental was marked by significant communication breakdowns and what felt like aggressive upselling. Despite booking an exam and cleaning via Opencare, the process was disjointed from the start. The Issues: Lack of Transparency: When I asked for a cost estimate upfront, I was told I’d receive it at the appointment. Instead, I was immediately pressured to discuss payment plans before even seeing a dentist. Inefficient Workflow: I spent nearly two hours in the office, including a confusing 15-minute stint back in the waiting room mid-appointment. The cleaning felt rushed, and the "split" between the hygienist and an assistant for basic brushing was unusual and inefficient. Billing Discrepancies: At checkout, I was charged double my expected amount for a "perio cleaning" I never agreed to. It took a follow-up call four days later and a long conversation with billing to rectify this. The Silver Lining: The only saving grace was Catherine in Billing. Unlike the rest of the staff who doubled down on the errors, she listened to my concerns, validated the Opencare booking terms, and removed the additional fees from my chart. While Catherine was professional and helpful, the overall experience was disappointing. It felt more like a sales environment than a healthcare provider. I won't be returning.

Good dental care

I hated the dentist visits before, not here!! All the staff was friendly, the facility was super clean and everything was explained in detail. Can’t wait to come back.

The receptionist is very patient and cordial. She spent a good amount of time locating the best time for me and for the services I needed. They figured out a way for me to have an exam and cleaning at my desired time. Everyone was very experienced and attentive. I am very pleased with this practice.
