Dr. Ian Chang

“Life is too short – find love in all things that interest you.” Dr. Chang is passionate about cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Dr. Chang earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan. Feeling that there was more to learn, he completed further training at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital General Practice Residency program. While there, his experience with craniofacial trauma, oral cancer, and medical emergencies became an asset in providing the best dental care to the medically complex population. As well, Dr. Chang spends part of his week lecturing and supervising in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto on the subject of prosthodontics. Nothing makes him happier than giving back time and knowledge to prepare our next generation of dentists. When not treating patients, look for Dr. Chang on the catwalk! He has been a print and runway model since 2010. He has appeared in numerous fashion weeks and walked for names such as: Hugo Boss, John Varvatos, Ted Baker, and many others. His face has been published in malls and magazines across Canada. In his “spare time”, Dr. Chang is a professional photographer, with a focus on fashion, beauty, and headshot photography. He has shot weddings from all across the country. Like dentistry, he feels that making photographs can yield beautiful results as long as you have three things: creativity, knowledge, and patience.
