About
Dr. Chen trained in Dentistry at the University of Toronto. After graduating in 1997, she completed one year of general residency in Toronto’s Sunnybrook Hospital. She then practiced in various private dental settings in Toronto in the early part of her career. Subsequently, she moved to Vancouver in 2002 & continue to practice in general dentistry. Dr. Chen’s experiences as a hospital resident & a private clinician have made her a well-rounded dentist who provides a wide range of services to a diverse patient base. As a mother of two, Dr. Chen is also able to help and motivate young patients to maintain long term oral health. Dr. Angel Chen is dedicated to continuing education and has taken many courses in a variety of subjects in dentistry, complicated dental reconstruction, cosmetic smile makeovers, implants, orthodontics and Invisalign orthodontics.

Reviewed on December 24th, 2023 • Verified patientHad a very thorough assessment done and the clinic respected that I wanted to use whatever my dental insurance covered. Gave her recommendations kindly, without pressure, and helped explain terminology. Did a cleaning and it was painful since the hygienist cleaned below the gum line. Numbing cream was offered, but I didn't expect to use it because my cleanings prior to this was never painful.
