DR. JUSTIN PATTERSON, BA, BSC, DDS Dr. Patterson grew up in Freeport, Nova Scotia and graduated from the University of Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry in 2012. In dental school Dr. Patterson was awarded the Dr. Terry Ingram Memorial Scholarship for “a student who exemplifies strong ethical and humanitarian principles” and the Comprehensive Patient Care Award for “greatest proficiency in clinical comprehensive patient care”. After graduation, Dr. Patterson practiced for a year in Nova Scotia and then moved to the Comox Valley where he and his partner Katie, fell in love with Vancouver Island. They are very happy that they can make beautiful Victoria their home. Dr. Patterson’s goal is to provide high quality patient centred dentistry in a professional and compassionate atmosphere. When not providing high level care to his patients you will find Justin and Katie spending a lot of time outdoors, taking their dogs (Sully and Charlie) for walks, and enjoying camping, kayaking and hiking. Justin also enjoys fishing, golf, hockey and baseball.

Our bright, sunny office is on the top floor with gorgeous views of Mt Doug and the surrounding area. Conveniently located on Quadra Street, with ample free off street parking, so you can avoid the craziness of downtown traffic and expensive parking. We are also on the number 6 bus route and very close to the galloping goose trail, so you can bike, bus or walk with ease. However you get to us, we pride ourselves in taking the time to listen to your personal dental concerns and to recognize your individualized needs. Our Dentist and hygienists only use the most advanced and proven methods and materials to treat your oral health needs. We are at the forefront of dental technology and with our expertise we can assure you that you will be well taken care of. We are now accepting new patients and we welcome all ages! We enjoy meeting new people and for your first visit to our office, we recommend a complete new patient exam.Dr. Patterson will review your medical and dental history, conduct a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth, and take the necessary digital radio-graphs (x-rays). We will assess your current condition, including tooth decay, gum health, structurally compromised teeth, orthodontic needs, and aesthetic desires. After listening to your concerns and questions, we will help prioritize your dental options and desires to find the preferred solutions for your dental requirements. We will set up a schedule of appointments and will take the time to explain steps along the way. We are here to provide you with the information and expertise to help you make the best treatment decisions.

Our office prides itself on our friendly and relaxed atmosphere; we strive to make our patients feel comfortable and calm by providing a light hearted and peaceful environment. Our office is different from some large scale and overly busy offices, as we try and make each patient feel like part of the team by involving you in every part of your treatment plan and by giving you all the information you need to make the best treatment decision for yourself. With our small and dedicated staff, it doesn’t take long to get to know the staff and feel like you have been coming here for years. Our office offers treatments such as cleanings, composite (white) fillings, extractions, implant crowns, dental crowns and bridges and in office whitening. We are very proud to offer more advanced treatments, such as gum grafting surgery, crown lengthening surgery and root canals using our in office dental microscope. Our entire staff stays up to date with our continuing studies, so we are always up on the latest and greatest technology. We are able to offer some of the latest devices such as a digital scanner for crowns and bridges, intra-oral cameras, oral cancer screening and digital x-rays.
