Dr. Dillon Patel

Dr. Patel is fresh to Texas but has spent almost all his life in the South. He grew up in a small town in Alabama, attending a boarding school specializing in Mathematics & Science and then pursuing his bachelor’s in engineering at the University of Alabama. After admitting his mistakes and accepting that being a Crimson Tide wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, he completed his engineering degree and later, his dental degree at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Patel completed a hospital based general dentistry residency in New York where he provided care to medically complex patients. Missing the South, he went back to his roots at UAB where he completed a year of oral and maxillofacial surgery. There, Dr. Patel assisted and treated patients with extensive traumatic facial injuries, trained in implant placement, provided intravenous sedations, and performed numerous dental extractions and other surgeries in the oral cavity. In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys attending concerts, cracking terrible jokes, hiking, and reminiscing about tennis – the only sport where he didn’t spend most of his time on the bench. Known for his dry sense of humor and friendly personality, Dr. Patel now resides in Longhorn country and is accepting patients at our South Lamar location!
