In 1984, Dr. de Alba, decided upon starting a Private Practice and thereby, retiring from his academic career at UCLA. He eventually opened his office in Chula Vista, CA in 1985 and later on in Coronado, CA as well. Practicing what he preached in Academia, Dr. de Alba created two of the most successful Orthodontic practices in San Diego over the past 28 years.
