Dr. David Donelson

Dr. David Donelson is from Atlanta and has a license to practice in Tennessee, Florida, New York, and Dubai. Dr. Donelson received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) in 2009 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He then moved to Jacksonville to attend a post graduate certificate program in general dentistry at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. While practicing in New York City, Dr. Donelson also served as clinical faculty at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Donelson moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2012 to continue his practice, bringing American education and smile design to the Middle East. He was the Consultant Dentist for Valiant Clinic and specialized in Smile Design and esthetic dentistry. While in the region, Dr. Donelson lectured on dental photography, smile design and esthetic dentistry. In 2015, Dr. Donelson received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction only 5% of practicing US dentists achieve. Dr. Donelson is also a Platinum Invisalign provider and was the top performing General Practitioner in the Middle East Region. Dr. Donelson is a current or past member of many academies, including the Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

After a decade of practice throughout the world. I have had the opportunity to be trained by some of dentistry's most distinguished thought and clinical leaders. I received my FAGD in 2015. The FAGD requires 500 hours of continuing education across several disciplines and also passing a written examination to earn this distinction. It takes significant time and dedication to accrue the required hours and skills demanded by the AGD. As of right now, only 7% of general dentists have achieved this Fellowship.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I focus on all facets of general dentistry but I enjoy specifically clear aligners (Invisalign), placing and restoring implants and cosmetic dentistry.

What are you proud of in your practice?

We have invested heavily in our team members to create an impressive patient experience. We leverage state of the art technology to perform a digital workflow removing the need for goopy impression material. Payment and paperwork are secure and digital, no need for paper invoices and receipts!

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy giving people the confidence to smile be recreating or rehabilitating their smile with clear braces and often times with crowns and veneers. I also enjoy replacing missing teeth and giving people the ability to more comfortably function properly.
