Dr. Maria Zanjanian

Dr. Maria Zanjanian was born and raised in Iran. She completed her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Medical Sciences in Tehran in 1991, and practiced dentistry in Tehran for ten years prior to immigrating with her husband to Canada. She attended the University of British Columbia in the School of Dentistry and completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2010. She began her practice in Canada as an Associate Dentist working in two clinics, one in Coquitlam and one in Burnaby. In 2012 she created her own practice operating as the Dentists at Metrotown. In the course of her career she has maintained interests in Endodontic dentistry and in facial cosmetic treatments. Maria is proud of the way her cosmetic dental and skin treatments have helped so many of her patients “smile with confidence”. Maria has always had a passion for technology. Innovation is something she appreciates in every way from the changes it has brought to home appliances, cars, computers and telephones through to the practice of dentistry. She shares an interest with the other Doctors at the Dentists at Metrotown in always looking for new technology and new methods that make visits to the dentist quieter, calmer and easier. Maria lives in Burnaby with her husband, Reza, and her two daughters, Tabby, 18 and Tara, 12. They are a family that enjoys both sports and swimming. but some of her favorite times are just relaxing at home and watching a movie or hockey game on TV. She and her family love their new home in British Columbia and take great pleasure on walks through the many parks with their wonderful shoreline views and the quiet serenity of the mountains.
