Dr. Virginia Mendell

Dr. Virginia M. Mendell was born in Brazil and grew up in Australia. She earned her first dental degree in Brazil where she had her own successful practice for 10 years. In 1998, she came to America where she attended NYU College of Dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Mendell practiced from 2003 until July 2025 in Connecticut where she earned several America’s Best Dentist awards. Dr. Mendell’s special areas of interest include cosmetics, endodontics, restorative, implant dentistry, various aspects of surgery including surgical extractions and bone grafting for socket preservation for future implant placement. She attended the Dawson Academy as well as the Academy of Laser Dentistry. She is highly skilled in the use of lasers in a variety of dental procedures. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of Laser Dentistry. “Providing quality dentistry in a comfortable and friendly environment is my goal” Outside the office Dr. Mendell enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and experiencing different cultures, fashion and design, painting and taking her dogs for walks in the park. She also appreciates a good novel. She remains current by reading and attending several continuing education courses and seminars both national and international.
