Dr. Stephanie Yokana

Dr. Stephanie Yokana has always lived in the Chicagoland area. She works with her husband Dr. Zachary Hummel, who is also a dentist. Together with their different treatment specialties, they are able to provide nearly all aspects of dentistry. She went to undergraduate school at Depaul University, and dental school at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. She has a passion for continuing education outside of work because in dentistry there is always room for improvement. Dr. Yokana is the daughter of Myriam Yokana, MD and they work as a multispecialty team together. They have offices in the same building, making it a one stop shop for all things medical and dental. Outside of dentistry, her passions include spending time with family and anything food related, whether it be cooking at home or trying the many great Chicago restaurants. She also enjoys going to many concerts and sporting events with her family. The goal is to one day be able to provide dental care abroad for many communities in need.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

As a dentist, it is important to put the best interest of each and every patient forward. I believe it is essential to really understand each patient's goals and provide options for treatment to help patient's make the best choice possible. Being bilingual in English and Spanish, I am better able to communicate with many of our patients.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Our practice is a little different from others. At Mannheim Dental, you will receive personalized care. We aim to make the dental visit experience one where people looking forward to rather than avoid.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I really do enjoy what I do on a daily basis. I enjoy many cosmetic cases such as smile makeovers (veneers, Invisalign, implants..), where I can really make an impact on patient's self confidence by helping them love their smile. On the other hand, I have a true passion for surgery and relieving patient's from pain.
