Really good staff, detailed summary of my issues

I am writing to report a concerning experience with URBN Dental Meyerland following my March 7 appointment, which I scheduled through your platform with Jiman Nelson. At check-in, the office could not verify my insurance despite my submitting all required information in advance. They completed an exam but said no treatment could proceed until verification was complete. I also did not receive my treatment plan until I followed up. The plan totaled $3,984 and included a full deep cleaning, multiple fillings, and remineralization—none previously recommended in my dental history (regular cleaning and monitoring small cavities). I have no symptoms (no pain, sensitivity, or bleeding gums) and had a routine cleaning just three months prior (December 2025), making this recommendation questionable. I was also told my Cigna plan would cover only 25% of a deep cleaning as “major restorative,” which contradicts my benefits. Pricing was inconsistent as well, with my quote significantly higher than what a family member was quoted for the same procedure at the same office. When I requested only a routine cleaning, I was told they would first submit a prior authorization for deep cleaning and only proceed with a routine cleaning if denied. I declined treatment and requested my X-rays. I submitted a request for my X-rays on March 14 and, as of April 21, have not received them or any response. I followed up again today and am awaiting a reply. Given the insurance issues, lack of communication, delay in releasing records, and a treatment plan inconsistent with my clinical history, I am concerned this was an attempt to upsell unnecessary services. I have chosen to seek care elsewhere. This experience falls below the standard I expect from a provider on your platform. I was billed for the exam and X-rays but received no treatment.

My overall experience was great for my first time visit! The staff were super sweet, professional, knowledgeable & informative! Dr. Williams & his dental hygienist were super nice & thorough! I definitely would recommend this office location & services! I will be back!

Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly. They greeted me and I was able to check in quickly. I didn’t have to wait very long to be directed to a treatment room upon entering the treatment room. The dental assistant read it me tell me her name and what she was proceeding to do and that I would need to have x-rays done, and then that the dental hygienist will be in.

The best dental experience I’ve ever had! I was so nervous and my anxiety was getting to me but the staff made me feel very at ease. Dr Williams has a forever client as I will be taking flights to get checked up once I move. The vibe and ambiance- chefs kiss

Good experience for a person that has not been to the dentist in over 10 years. All the equipment will make you scared at first, but the actual dentist and hygienist are great at the job. Procedures are very pricey be prepared.

Dr. C was very informative when explaining my oral health. Office was really clean, the staff was really helpful I easing my stress of dental offices. They will explain your dental plan from most important to least so that you can prioritize your care which is really helpful.
