Dr. Bob Vavaroutsos (or Dr. Bob as we call him) received his Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto in 1987. He then successfully graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1991 at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After graduating from dental school, Dr.Vavaroutsos completed a hospital internship at the Nassau County Medical Center in Long Island, New York. At the internship, he treated many medically compromised patients in need of dental therapy. After completion of this internship, Dr. Vavaroutsos became interested in children’s care, sports dentistry, and orthodontics. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education on orthodontics. Currently, Dr. Vavaroutsos spends close to a third of his time treating both children and adult orthodontic patients. From 2011, Dr. Vavaroutsos had been a teaching instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in the Oral Medicine Department. Dr. Vavaroutsos is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, American Dental Association, the International Orthodontic Association, and the American Association of Functional Orthodontics.
