Dr. Alina Lane

Cosmetic and General Dentist Dr. Alina Lane originated on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in a very artistic family. She grew up painting, drawing, and sculpting, and even spent two summers working as a mosaic tile artist. She was inspired to become a dentist by her grandfather, Dr. Kwang Wook Rowe, who practiced into his 90s and passionately loved his work and helping his patients. Educational Background After graduating Valedictorian of Stephen Decatur High School, Dr. Lane went on to Cornell University and majored in Chemistry with a concentration in Biology. She then returned to her home state to attend the University of Maryland - Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, a top 3 ranked dental school at the time. She was accepted into and completed the competitive Implant Clerkship, served as the President of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, and was initiated into Gamma Pi Delta, a Prosthodontic Honors Fraternity. She was awarded the Dean's Award for her volunteering work and helped teach Baltimore Youth during her time at UMD. She always dreamed of living in New York City, so she then attended a General Practice Residency at Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn. She was awarded "Resident of the Year" out of 23 residents in the program.
