He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Southern California. Dr. McCalley opened his dental practice in San Diego in 1988. Dr. McCalley incorporates the most advanced technologies into his practice. These advancements improve the total patient experience. His comprehensive approach to dentistry has led him to be proficient in root canal treatment, Invisalign orthodontics, implant surgery, soft tissue laser treatment, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is among the first dentists in San Diego to implement CAD/CAM Cerec technology to provide one-visit crowns. By incorporating 3D imaging technology at his office, Dr. McCalley is also able to design treatment for the placement of dental implants.
