Dr. Steven Danney

Dr Steven Danney grew up in Los Angeles and attended UCLA for his undergraduate pre-dental education. He graduated from UCLA in 1974 with Magna Cum Laude Honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. He received his dental education at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and graduated with his DDS degree in 1977. From 1980 to1986, in addition to maintaining his private general dentistry practice, Dr. Danney served on the faculty at the UCLA School of Dentistry as both a clinical and pre-clinical instructor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. During that time he also served as chairman of the sophomore dental student pre-clinical Restorative Dentistry course. While the majority of his private practice experience has been in California, from 1996 to 2007, Dr. Danney practiced in the state of Maine, providing his professional services and clinical experience to a community that was underserved and in need of dental care. Dr. Danney has been serving the San Diego community for the past ten years. He always strives to ensure that his patients are as comfortable as possible and that their dental experience is as pleasant as it can be. He is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality of care that is guided exclusively by each patient's individual dental and financial needs.

Any patient that seeks our services will receive an honest assessment and explanation of their unique and specific treatment needs based on my many years of experience in general dentistry. Their treatment will be "evidence based" and will be provided in a caring and comfortable atmosphere.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns, bridges, implants and dentures), endodontic therapy (root canals), and treating obstructive sleep apnea sleeping disorders with custom made oral appliances.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud of the wonderful team that I am so fortunate to have working with me and their commitment to treating each patient as an individual and with the respect and attention that they deserve.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all phases of general dentistry, however giving a patient a smile that they are proud and comfortable with or relieving pain caused by disease are probably the two most fulfilling aspects of my profession.
