Dr. Feist’s enthusiasm for teeth began early when, after the removal of her braces, she declared that she was “going to be a dentist, because I can’t imagine a better job than helping people keep their smiles.” This interest in dentistry grew as she realized the impact that healthy teeth have both in mental and physical well-being. She studied at the University of California, Los Angeles to receive her B.A. degree in Latin, and then on to receive a D.M.D. (Doctor of Medical Dentistry) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 2003. She joined a General Practice Residency at the Denver Health Medical Center, a level one trauma center where she received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry, emergency dentistry and handling medically compromised patients. After completing residency Dr. Feist returned to her home and family in Southern California. She has strong ties to Santa Monica having spent part of her childhood here and then living here during college. Dr. Feist remains committed to improving her clinical and diagnostic skills, most recently becoming a member of the Seattle Study Club of Santa Monica. This group is comprised of both dental specialists and general practitioners aimed at advanced treatment planning to achieve ideal comprehensive care. She is a member of both the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Dr. Feist’s favorite part about practicing is the chance to provide a caring and comfortable experience for all of her guests. She enjoys the opportunity to make each visit feel more like an opportunity to catch up with old friends than a trip to the dentist. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Feist is an avid baseball and hockey fan. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, reading and cooking.
