I had my first visit here for a routine cleaning and exam. The staff were polite and the visit itself was smooth. However, I was surprised by the billing. My insurance clearly shows that preventive services like cleaning and exam are covered 100% in-network, but I was given an estimated balance of over $400. Additionally, a Velscope screening was performed, and I do not recall being clearly informed that this may not be covered by insurance or result in extra charges. I would strongly recommend that the office improves transparency around optional procedures and costs, especially for new patients. I’m currently waiting for insurance to process, but this experience was stressful and confusing.
