About
Dr Paul Deratnay aims to provide individuals with a comfortable and relaxing environment where we strive to exceed your expectations through professional results and our friendly staff. He is dedicated to making a difference by providing exemplary dental care. He knows that it takes more than just good technique to be a great dentist. It also takes commitment, understanding, and most importantly, a genuine interest in patient health and safety. Dr. Deratnay graduated from the University of Toronto in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree and in 1990 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. That same year he began practicing in Forest Hill. He enjoys expanding his knowledge and skills by consistently taking continuing education courses and has been a member of the Crown and Bridge Study Club since 1991. He has competed provincially, nationally and internationally in squash tournaments since the age of 12. Golf and tennis and is a proud father of Matthew and Sarah.

But my experience with Dr. Paul Deratnay was amazing from the beginning - from my communications with the receptionist Lynn, to my Hygienist Susie, and finally meeting Dr. Paul. My highlight was Susie - she is warm and approachable. She made me feel very comfortable in the chair, plus gave me details on what she's doing and how I could better care for my teeth. First time I felt a little more relaxed at a dentist! The hygienist was very friendly, helped me understand what she was doing and how I can improve my dental health. Dr. Deratnay was also very efficient and unlike other dentists did not attempt to get me to get services and products I do not need. The offices are in a great location and everything is very clean and modern. The receptionists were also easy to work with and made sure everything was sorted out with my insurance properly, and called me to confirm.
