Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun

Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun was born in Cambodia and raised in France and Germany. He studied dentistry at the University of Berlin and earned his DDS degree from the University of Ulm. After a time in private practice in Germany, his desire to broaden his scope of dentistry led him to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he eventually earned his DMD degree. In 2001, he met and married his wife Ji, who is also a dentist. Together, they moved to University Place, WA to reside and practice Dentistry. They are raising two beautiful daughters that keep them busy when they are not at the office. In his spare time, “Dr. P.” enjoys soccer, basketball, volleyball, and loves to play the guitar with his kids. He is a true family man and loves to try any of the new things his girls talk him into that allows him to spend more time with them. Recently they have convinced him to join in on their golfing lessons! Being a Star Trek fan, he collects Star Trek memorabilia and for three years served as editor-in-chief for Starfleet International (www.sfi.org) — the world’s largest Star Trek fan club. His latest interest is airsofting. “Dentistry is a fascinating field not only because I get to play with the latest gadgets — which is great for a technophile person like me, but I can touch and influence people from all walks of life. It’s an indescribable satisfaction to bring back someone’s smile with a beautiful restoration, or to get someone out of pain, or to simply convert a non-flosser to a flosser! It’s astonishing what patients can tell you about themselves when you just sit there and listen.” — Dr. P.
