Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?
I was born and raised in Kitsilano, Vancouver and am very proud to have my practice in this neighborhood today. As a child, my goal was always to attend UBC (University of British Columbia) because of it's incredible reputation of the highest standards of education. Achieving this dream and then setting up my practice just down the road has left me with a great sense of community. I am continually grateful for the wonderful people that make up the tight knit neighborhood of Kitsilano and who support my spot in this great place. I am proud to call it home.

What are you proud of in your practice?
My wonderful staff makes me proud everyday. They are caring, thoughtful, committed, and fun! They make coming to work everyday a joy. I regularly ask for feedback from my patients and the response is always positive. I don't know what I would do without them!
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
My favorite cases involve patients who think their mouth is a lost cause. Time and again I see people who, for one reason or another, have neglected their oral health. I don't believe in guilt or shame about this, even though this is a common reaction I see when these patients walk in my door. My philosophy involves dealing with the task at hand head on. I love being able to explain and reassure these patients that no job is too big and that there is always something that can be done to improve their situation, which will in turn improve their overall health and well-being. When I am able to gain the trust of these patients and show them the improvement that is achievable, THAT makes my day.
