Dr. René Chiasson was born and raised in the province of New-Brunswick. Growing up in a family of fisherman, he naturally spent most of his life by the Atlantic Ocean. He subsequently moved to Québec City to study at Université Laval, wherein he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2011. After graduation, he made a pivotal decision to move to beautiful British Columbia. Having had visited the west coast several times in his youth, it was an easy decision to move to a place where he remained close to the ocean. Dr. René loves spending his leisure time outdoors around the seawall, hiking around the city and snowboarding. Since his move to Vancouver, Dr. René has been working in different offices that allowed his passion for dentistry to flourish. He worked with the community and also with the UBC students. Dr. René’s particular interests include, but are not limited to, implant dentistry, wisdom teeth extractions and other surgeries like gum grafting.
