Dr. James Coakley has been practicing dentistry since 1985. A 1984 graduate of Marquette University’s School of Dentistry, he moved his practice from Bay View to West Allis in 1989. He and his team also provide quality dental care to residents of Milwaukee as well as Waukesha, Racine and Washington counties. Patients include four generations aged 3 to 103. Dr. Coakley is heavily involved with dental outreach programs and is dedicated to helping children receive the health care they need. He participates with SOAR to hold fundraisers to sponsor three dental clinics in the three largest orphanages in Armenia. He also participates in fundraising and sponsoring the Special Olympics.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Dr. Coakley values his relationships with his patients and makes it a priority to deliver compassionate gentle dental care. He believes that his communication with patients in solving their dental needs makes them an active partner in successful oral health outcomes.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Implant Restoration, Crown and Bridge, Automated Root Canal Therapy

What are you proud of in your practice?

Dr. Coakley has been practicing in the Metro Milwaukee area for over 36 years. He has treated four generations of families. It is really cool providing quality dental care and seeing children turning into adults and then bringing in the next generation to fulfill their dental needs

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy the cases that involve getting a patient who has apprehension with dental procedures, educated the how's, what and whys of the specific treatment and at the end verbalizing that the treatment was not that bad and would have the same procedure done again. That to me is success.
