I am a [psychologist practicing in Boston for over 25 years. I see many different kinds of patients and treat a variety of problems.
What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
I see patients in a private practice setting. I am able to spend time with a patient in order to understand their difficulty and consider how to be useful. I have studied various approaches and I have been practicing for over 25 years. I work to form a collaborative therapeutic relationship with my patient so we are talking together and find a common language. Often therapy is about making a safe place in which to take risks to feel better and to make change.
What are you and your team proud of at your practice?
I am proud of the fact that I'm engaged in the practice of psychotherapy which can be life altering-- for an individual, couple or family--and reduce unnecessary suffering. We all need to understand and be involved in making our lives worthwhile.
