What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?
Health psychology certainly does not imply that your medical condition is “all in your head.” Quite the contrary. Rather, health psychology addresses the complexity and integration of factors that connect your physical and mental health. This approach helps examine how a variety of factors, such as heredity, behavioral and lifestyle choices, perception, thoughts, emotions, self-care, and social connections influence your mental and physical health, including your overall well being. This involves not just thinking about managing disease, but also with preventing illness in the first place. Health is more than the absence of disease. There are a great number of health related concerns that benefit in working with a health psychology model (certainly too many to name here).
