Dr. Nasser Derakshan

Dr. Nasser Derakshan is registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons as a Certified Specialist in Periodontics. We are fortunate to have Dr. Derakshan’s 20 years of experience at our office. His focus has been on dental implants and gum disease treatment. Dr. Derakshan successfully completed his D.M.D. degree in 1976 in his homeland of Iran. He speaks fluent English and Persian. In 1981, Dr. Derakshan and his family settled in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he received his Canadian Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree and completed a two-year residency in Periodontics at Dalhousie University. Dr. Derakshan strives to always be current with the many changes in Periodontal Therapy and with the new and improved materials and techniques in Implant Dentistry. He attends numerous continuing education courses throughout the year. He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Canadian Academy of Periodontics, Ontario Academy of Periodontics and a member of the Ontario Association of Dental Specialists.
