Dr. Shilpesh Parekh

I was born and raised in India where, as a child, I had an insatiable hunger for knowledge and learning. This childhood ambition pointed me in the direction of the medical field. With the loving support of my parents and later my incredible wife Mona I was able to turn my dreams into reality when I became a dentist in 2007. I subsequently opened my first dental clinic where I built and grew my patient base. While serving my patients at the practice it was important to me to give back to the community by providing free dental check ups in rural areas outside of my office hours. After practicing for 9 years, my passion for learning brought me to Canada. I found that in order to establish myself on an international level as a dentist it was necessary to further my education at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. I graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2011 and gained further invaluable experience by working as an associate for the past 4 years in Mississauga and Brampton. Which brings me to my most recent move to Smileworx Dental. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to step into such a friendly, successful and proficient office.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Dentistry for me isn’t confined to an office. It is a huge part of my life and being an integral part of Smileworx is a dream come true after more than 13 years of hard work and dedication as a dentist.
