Hi! I am Dr. Rand. I am a dentist in the Scarborough and Downtown Toronto area since 2013. I graduated with a DDS in 1992 from the University of Baghdad. In my practice, I prioritize a gentle and caring touch along with keeping my patients calm and comfortable. In addition to general dentistry, I help my patients achieve beautiful smiles with cosmetic dentistry such as bridges, veneers, bonding, implants and braces. I am proud to say that very rarely we have to refer cases out. This means my patients can be treated in right here in our office where they are most comfortable. When I am not at the clinic, I am an executive member of the Halton-Peel Dental Association and an executive board member of the Canadian-Iraqi Dental Society. I also continuously update my skills and techniques by actively participating in professional conferences and workshops.

I truly enjoy treating each and every case that comes to our office. All my patients are unique and I value building strong and long-lasting relationships with them. That being said, I have a specific interest in cosmetic dentistry.

Actually, my 4yrs old son became ill overnight and I had to cancel my appt literally an hour beforehand (10am)- I called at 9am. I feared not setting up for a good impression for my first time if I cancelled literally an hour beforehand. It was confirmed there was no cancellation fee. I rescheduled for the following week. I did not actually have Dr. Rand Al-hafidh, but I had Dr. Zdravkovski and excellent compassionate service from the hygenist-whom I cannot remember her name at this moment. Fantastic, kind and expeditious treatment.

Shortly after i filled in the paperwork, I was ushered in for the exam by the very friendly Dental Assistant. I was in for an emergency appointment (which they fit me in with under 24 hours notice) and was told I had a few holes in my teeth to fill. They noticed I didn't have insurance and between the exam and the procedure the receptionist came into the room to discuss the price with me before they moved forward with the repairs. Not only that, but they offered my 15% off because I didn't have insurance. They talked with kind words and not condescension. It meant the world to me. Dr. Rand Al-hafidh was very nice, quick and professional as she fixed not two, but three holes in my teeth in just under an hour. I was as comfortable as on could be at the dentist. My hygienist was approachable, professional, funny and wonderful at her job (there was a bit of maneuvering in the small room space with the machine, but she handled it like a pro!). Check up was a breeze and in depth, and I left without having to spend a fortune (I have no insurance).
