About

Lauren is a graduate of the University of Miami where she earned her doctorate of physical therapy (DPT). With her background in athletic training, Lauren has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations from pediatrics to collegiate and professional athletes, and she has a passion for helping her patients return to an active lifestyle. Raised in Plano, Lauren is happy to be back in Texas and enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, as well as their extended family.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Source One is a CARF accredited multidisciplinary therapy center. Services at this location include physical therapy and occupational therapy programs, sports medicine, return-to-work and return-to-play programs, functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), Chronic Pain Programs, and Brain Injury Programs.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

We see injuries from car wrecks, injuries at work, and injuries from sports. In addition to physical and occupational therapists, we have pain management specialists and psychologists to address all the physical and mental aspects of being hurt. It is not unusual for you to feel depressed or angry about getting hurt and not being able to work. We recognize this, and although physical therapy isn’t easy, we know how to get you back to your usual activities quickly and safely.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Source One was established in 1994, and our facilities have been CARF-accredited since 1998. We are one of only a few physical therapy and rehabilitation facilities in Texas to hold this prestigious accreditation. CARF stands for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Being CARF-accredited is reflection of our commitment to improving the quality of our services and demonstrating their effectiveness, meeting internationally recognized program standards, and enhancing patient care.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all types of patient cases. It is particularly rewarding when our treatment team can help a patient return to work and an active lifestyle.
