Jen is a native Oregonian who loves all the northwest has to offer, especially being the running Mecca of the world! Born and raised in West Linn she attended West Linn High School where she ran cross country. Jen attended undergraduate school at the University of Colorado Boulder getting her BA in Kinesiology and applied physiology 2003. She attended Physical Therapy School at Regis University Denver Colorado receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2008. Her passion and niche practice Specializes in treating runners and running athletes from amateur runners to professional MLS soccer players in her outpatient orthopedic private practice setting affiliated with Foot Traffic running stores. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and orthopedics section member and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic and Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). Jen has cutting edge specialized advanced manual therapy techniques certified and trained through Kinetacore which expedite her patients return to running and their sports activity faster when combined with SFMA and FMS correctives than standard physical therapy practice. She has High level training in spinal and peripheral joint thrust manipulation and Specializes in spine, hip and Lower extremity injuries. She has been trained by some of the leading experts in the field Dr. Julie Whitman, Dr. Tim Flynn and Dr. Jim Elliott during her time at Regis University and continues this training through Evidence in Motion (EIM). She is an avid long distance runner over 20 years and marathon minimalist runner. She prides herself in getting her patients back to running, keeping them running and helping aspiring novice runners to succeed. She believes in quality over quantity and treating her patients like family. In Jen's free time she enjoys running, international travel, bouldering, hiking, and spending time with her husband, dog family and friends.
