Biography

Katie attended Sir Sanford Flemming College, graduating with honours from the Massage Therapy Program, and became a registered member with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 2011. She has a great passion for the practice of massage therapy and for helping people. She works within an evidence based model employing techniques tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Katie uses Swedish massage techniques as a basis for each treatment whether it betissue,relaxation, pain management, rehabilitation or pregnancy. Katie’s background is in social services where she holds a Human Services Counselor Diploma. For 11 years she worked as a support worker for Oshawa/Clarington Community Living, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in their day to day decision making and advocating on their behalf so that they may maintain a good quality of life. In her spare time she likes to keep active by working out or going for long walks. She also enjoys her down time by reading a good book or curling up and watching a movie. Also, family is very important to her, and she spends a lot of time with them.

I am certified in acupuncture. I have also attended workshops for myofascial release and have experience in pre natal, orthopedic and deep tissue massage.
