Biography

Abby graduated with Honours from the Canadian Therapeutic College in 2008, gaining experience in a variety of settings from clinics, to wellness centres, and recently a luxury spa. She is highly adaptable to treating clients with different needs, to ensure they receive the most appropriate care for their ailment. Specialty treatments range from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries, to chronic pain and sports induced trauma. Abby’s skills include Thai, hot stone, pregnancy, deep tissue, and shiatsu style massage techniques. These have allowed her to develop an understanding of the body and apply a multidisciplinary approach to clinical massage. Abby continues to develop long term treatment plans to help athletes, both professional and recreational, maintain peak fitness levels through on and off seasons. She has a laid back approach and is passionate about having an active role in her clients’ well being. In her spare time Abby enjoys yoga, cooking (and eating) different types of food, and has recently developed a love for travel.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

I have worked in different massage environments, from clinics to a spa in a 5 star hotel. I bring almost a decade of experience to the table (pun intended), and take great pride in building rapport with my clients, ensuring a strong foundation for a long term relationship. I believe that massage is for everyone and make it my priority to provide each client with a customized treatment that best suits their needs.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

1. Sports Injury 2. Chronic Pain 3. Rehabilitation

What are you proud of in your practice?

I take pride in bringing a well rounded treatment that incorporates massage techniques I have learned over time. I welcome a challenge and make it my personal goal to help anyone in need to the best of my ability.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I excel at sports injuries! I enjoy any chance I get to incorporate deep tissue techniques. The ability to apply that to my athletes can be more effective because they can take the "torture." Prenatal is also a favourite because moms to be can benefit from massage at every stage in their pregnancy (and they love every minute of it). Lastly, I am very comfortable working with clients who have tension from activities of daily living. I believe in regular massage treatments for maintenance as it improves wellbeing, and reduces the chance of injury.

Easy to talk to, great at what she does. Really helpful and gave advice on how to improve issues beyond just coming in for more sessions
