Biography

Jun Ichino is a a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. Jun uses such techniques as fascial release and trigger point therapy to address stress and tension, postural dysfunction, sore muscles and more. Additionally, Jun is also a certified Usui-Tibetan Reiki Master who received her training with Maria Trumbach of T-Line Services in Ottawa. Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique used for relaxation and stress reduction. Jun is also a certified reflexologist who studied here in Toronto at Footsteps Reflexology School. Reflexology is a system of massage that stimulates reflexes in the feet that correspond to different parts of the body, in an attempt to restore balance to a person's health. With a background in yoga and dance, Jun is an RMT who strives to bring a holistic approach to health. Whether you want a soothing and relaxing Swedish massage or a more therapeutic session to address specific concerns, Jun will tailor your treatment to meet your unique needs.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

If you have an interest in complimentary/alternative therapy, I have a background in Reiki, reflexology and yoga which informs my practice as an RMT.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

-neck and shoulder relaxation massage/trigger point therapy -the feet and lower legs/calves -fascial release

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud to bring a high degree of skill and empathetic care to every client I see, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, and so on. I am very sincere in my desire to help people and make the world a better place.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I love treating people with different conditions because it's very gratifying to be able to help someone by decreasing their pain and helping them get back to their day-to-day living. For example, everybody suffers from some degree of postural dysfunction because of work, school, sitting at a computer, texting on their cell phones etc. Poor posture can lead to things like headaches, fatigue and back pain, and massage therapy can make a huge difference.
