Dr. Cristina Allen was granted early acceptance into the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario after completing three years of a Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Calgary. In 2010, she graduated from a four year Naturopathic Doctor program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her four-pronged approach to healthcare is simple: 1. Consider the individual as a whole 2. Empower through education 3. Apply the least invasive treatments possible 4. Promote prevention as key. Dr. Cristina sees both paediatric and adult patients, and treats a wide range of conditions, including digestive and cardiovascular complaints, hormonal imbalances, fertility, health optimization, cosmetics and anti-aging. Treatments are individualized and use dietary and lifestyle modifications, herbal and nutritional medicines, bioidentical hormones, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. She has furthered her education to complete a specialty in fertility and paediatrics, and advanced training and certification in intravenous therapy and mesotherapy. She registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy, and the College of Naturopaths of Ontario. Dr. Cristina welcomes patients to a practice where a science-based approach combined with empathy and experience ensures excellence in both patient care and clinical results.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

My goal with all my patients is to provide them with a sustainable approach to healthcare. This means I will work to optimize the health of an individual to overcome their health concerns, while educating them and taking a preventative approach.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I treat a wide variety of complaints, however the most common are: 1. Fertility & Paediatrics 2. Dietary modification for prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and hormonal/endocrine disorders 3. Digestive Complaints

What are you proud of in your practice?

A priority of mine in my practice is to build good rapport with all my patients, and believe that it is the key to providing the best care to my patients.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

It's quite common that patients will end up at a naturopath because they're unsatisfied with what conventional medicine has provided. I find these cases to be particularly interesting, as they require investigative work that engages both myself and the patient, to determine the root cause of the concern. Once that's found, the results that the patient experiences is incredibly rewarding for both of us!
