Dr. Natasha Vani BSc, MSc, ND is a licensed Naturopath and an Exercise Physiologist. As a primary care physician she has a passion for empowering people to take charge of their health. Her goals are to address the root cause of disease and help reunite people with their wellbeing by helping them gain a greater awareness of their body and its physiology. Dr. Vani received her Bachelor and Masters of Science form York University in the department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences. During this period she specialized in an Athletic Therapy certificate program gaining experience in the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries. She then became certified as a Strength and Conditioning coach as well as an Exercise physiologist. At this time she participated in the cardio-respiratory testing of elite level athletes and organizations as well as various occupational populations. Some of these include the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Ontario firefighter applicants and the annual testing for the NHL entry draft. After completing her MSc, Natasha was employed as a regional manager for an international health company which worked one on one with clients in the areas of nutrition, exercise and well being. With her ultimate goal being to assist individuals in the area of disease prevention and attainment of optimal health she then chose to continue her education and attend The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. As a student intern at the college, Natasha provided care at The Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic a clinic targeting all areas of general family practice, The Sherbourne Health Center a clinic designated for HIV patients and various clinics in the region of Ometepe, Nicaragua. Today Dr. Vani ND, approaches many conditions within general family practice with a distinctive emphasis on weight loss, stress management, fatigue and Chronic fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, gastrointestinal disease, arthritis, heart disease, and hormone balancing. Her tools include nutrition and exercise guidance, acupuncture, homeopathy, botanical medicine and counselling.
