Her practice has been influenced by post-graduate studies in myofascial release, lymph drainage, acupuncture and craniosacral therapy. Joanna has extensive experience in providing physiotherapy in the workplace. She has provided onsite physiotherapy for the occupational health departments of several hospitals and various office settings. This has consolidated her experience in the treatment of repetitive strain injuries and her approach which combines individualized therapy and ergonomic recommendations. Joanna’s treatments encompass the full body, mind and spirit, with a special focus on creating personalized prescriptions for healing. Her multidisciplinary approach brings awareness to your body and includes traditional physiotherapy, hands-on energy work, and yoga. As a physiotherapist, Joanna facilitates your body’s ability to heal by listening and responding to its changing needs to positively resolve injuries and chronic pain issues. Joanna has an interest in yoga and Ayurveda and has completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training course. She is continuing to update her knowledge by studying Ayurveda with a doctor in India and attending yoga classes and workshops locally. Joanna is always looking for new things to learn and ways to increase her knowledge and expand her practice. She enjoys bringing these new resources directly to her patients and credits much of her learning to her experiences working with clients from all walks of life over the past ten years. Her holistic and comprehensive approach has enhanced the lives of many patients who had expected to have to live with injuries and/or chronic pain.
