Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Cebu Doctors’ University in Cebu City, Philippines. She worked as a physiotherapist in Jeddah, KSA for 7 years before moving to Canada. In Canada, she worked as a Physiotherapist Assistant until writing the Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Examination in April 2014. Since then, she has been practicing physiotherapy specializing in mobilization, active therapy and laser therapy. Maria is always continuing her education, currently working on furthering her Pelvic Health training. Maria always employs patient-centered treatment and strives to attain treatment goals. She regularly checks the patient’s progress and treatment response, and modifies the treatments as needed.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

Exercises, Mobilization and Laser Therapy. Currently working on furthering my Pelvic Health Physiotherapy training.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Being able to help patient achieve a better quality of life and function without pain.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

Musculoskeletal conditions as well as pre and post operative conditions. Helping and seeing patients recover and return to their normal activities of daily living validates my professional practice.
